New York Knicks · Looking back on Amar’e Stoudemire and Tyson Chandler’s three seasons with the New York Knicks from 2011-14 elicits all kinds of basketball nostalgia. For starters, the two big bodies represent a throwback to an NBA era where frontcourt stars played a smash-mouth style of basketball in the post. They scored almost exclusively under the basket and dutifully defended the rim on the other side of the ball. Chandler was named an All-Star in 2013, and the duo helped guide the Knicks to the playoffs in their first and second seasons together. Shown in that inaugural season on March 20, 2012, Stoudemire - a year removed from his own All-Star campaign - and Chandler put their brutish force on display to the tune of 39 combined points, 16 rebounds, three assists and three blocks in a 106-87 victory. After qualifying for the playoffs later that season, the team would go even farther the following campaign, winning the franchise’s first postseason series since 2000. · State of Mint · State of Mint
