The 10th pick of the 2022 NBA Draft put together one of the best performances of his rookie campaign against the Milwaukee Bucks, with the basketball landing in his hands following a teammate picking Giannis Antetokounmpo’s pocket. Davis turned on the jets as he raced coast-to-coast before landing an impressive one-handed slam over Jrue Holiday. Davis matched his season-best with 20 points on 9 of 17 shooting and also chipped in five rebounds, four assists, two steals and two blocks on April 4, 2023. Davis averaged 5.3 points across 28 games as a rookie, but that number ballooned when Washington inserted him into the starting lineup for the final five contests of the season.
