Kalani Brown didn’t make the Dallas Wings roster to open the 2023 season — luckily, she and the team soon found one another again. The former Los Angeles Sparks and Atlanta Dream center is back on a WNBA squad for the first time in two years and making the most of her renewed opportunity. Brown showcased her defensive chops against the Dream as she prevented her former team from converting an offensive rebound into second-chance points, blocking Monique Billings’ shot underneath and having the presence of mind to save the deflection from careening out of bounds.
