The 2022-23 season was certainly a fulfilling one for Julius Randle and the resurgent New York Knicks. For the second time in three years, Randle earned both All-Star and All-NBA selections, claiming a spot on the Third Team two seasons after earning a spot on the Second Team. Randle averaged a career-best 25.1 points per game, leading the Knicks to 47 wins — the team’s highest total since the 2012-13 campaign — and New York won a playoff series for the first time in a decade. Randle posted 22 30-point games and crossed the 40-point threshold five times, becoming the first Knicks player to record a 40-point, 15-rebound game since 1996. He tallied a career-high 57 points against the Minnesota Timberwolves on March 20, coming within five points of matching a franchise record.
