Quick and assertive in proving that 2023-24 would be different, the Timberwolves’ pairing got on the hunt early, turning a red-hot start into a year-long race for the Western Conference’s No. 1 seed. Along the way, the improvements have been tangible and intangible, with Edwards upping his scoring for the fourth-straight year (25.9 points) while also using his one-of-a-kind athletic gifts to make breathtaking defensive plays. Edwards’ All-NBA co-star wasn’t short on history, either, using this season to become just the league’s seventh player ever to produce multiple 60-point games. Battling injuries, turned in a consistent scoring average (21.8) on nearly a 50-40-90 split.
