Sensing an opportunity against Rae Burrell on the perimeter, Gray put a few of those many gears on showcase in isolation. Decisive in her move immediately after the catch, the two-time Olympic gold medalist challenges Burrell’s balance, first with a breathtaking crossover and then another, creating space before elevating into an and-one pull-up jumper. The bucket helped kickstart a 23-14 run to close out the second quarter, giving Las Vegas a seven-point halftime boost. Gray’s contributions helped the Aces exact a measure of revenge against the often-competitive Los Angeles Sparks, earning their first win of the WNBA’s second half stretch.
