For six seasons with the Houston Rockets, James Harden and Clint Capela were one of the league’s most explosively efficient pairings. There was little they couldn’t do. Harden won three scoring titles from 2018-20, led the league in assists in 2017 and was named MVP in 2018. Meanwhile, Capela averaged better than 12 rebounds per game from 2018-20 and shot between 63 and 65 percent from the field for four straight seasons, with his .652 mark in 2018 tops in the league. The synergy is evident here in their third season together, as Harden and Capela combine to pick apart the Minnesota Timberwolves. The shifty Harden keeps the defense guessing on whether he’ll pull up from deep or gash them on a drive to the rim. The pair combined for 49 points, 20 rebounds, 14 assists, five steals and four blocks in the 123-118 win on April 12, 2017.
