Brooklyn Nets

When the franchise relocated from New Jersey after the 2011-12 season, Brook Lopez and Deron Williams brought playoff basketball along with them to the Brooklyn Nets. Teammates for four full seasons with the Nets — Williams had arrived via trade the previous year — the duo got the Nets back to the postseason three consecutive seasons from 2013-15 after a five-year absence, including the organization’s first series win since 2007. Each an All-Star once during their time together, the offensively-gifted point guard and center were perfect complementary pieces. Against the Dallas Mavericks on March 20, 2013, both erupted for 30-plus points, with Williams’ shiftiness able to create his own shot anywhere on the court, while his pinpoint passes to Lopez underneath made it a nightmare for the opposition to defend. When the dust had settled on the convincing 113-96 Nets win, the pair combined for 69 points, 14 rebounds, seven assists and two blocks while shooting a scorching 28-for-47 from the field. · Mar 20, 2013
