New Orleans Pelicans · In their first two seasons together with the New Orleans Pelicans, Zion Williamson and Brandon Ingram displayed tantalizing potential. Drafted in the top-two three years apart, they became teammates ahead of the 2019-20 season after the Pelicans drafted Williamson first overall and traded for Ingram less than a month later. In Year 1, Ingram was an All-Star and the league’s Most Improved Player and Williamson was an All-Rookie First Team pick. A year later, Williamson made the leap to All-Star while Ingram’s production was almost identical to the previous season. Seen in Year 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers, the duo shows a synergy usually reserved for grizzled veterans. Ingram lobs alley-oops to the ferocious Williamson while effortlessly getting buckets from the midrange, while Williamson shows off his skills as a facilitator when he feeds Ingram for an opportunistic triple. The two combined for 63 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists while shooting 23-for-34 in the convincing 128-111 victory on March 23, 2021. · State of Mint · State of Mint
