The Marcus Smart-to-Jayson Tatum connection is a terror on both sides of the ball. The duo proves to be a thorn in the Washington Wizards’ side on more than one occasion, as Smart picks Kristaps Porziņģis’ pocket and quickly dumps it off to Tatum for a transition layup. Elsewhere, Smart doesn’t even let the Wizards cross halfcourt before snaring another steal and finding Tatum for a wide-open triple. The rest of the Boston Celtics’ defensive contingent showed up for this one too, as Al Horford sets the tone by blocking a Monte Morris drive less than a minute in, while Luke Kornet similarly turns aside a Will Barton take. Grant Williams shows there’s no substitute for effort as he ranges out to the corner to reject a three-point try.
