Minnesota was determined – even without Karl-Anthony Towns – and Naz Reid stepped in to record one of his five blocks with a forceful denial of Dillon Brooks, who was also rejected by Kyle Anderson in the game. Anthony Edwards was brilliant defensively, tallying five steals and three blocks, including a block on Brandon Clarke that turned into a dunk on the other end. Grizzlies superstar Ja Morant is repeatedly denied, as the Timberwolves throw turnover-forcing double teams throughout.
