DeRozan produced one of the best offensive performances of his 14-year career against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and the Chicago Bulls needed every single point to come away with a victory. An All-Star for the sixth time in 2023, DeRozan was his usual efficient self from mid-range, while also finding time to mix in a pair of 3-pointers and set his teammates up with assists. DeRozan sent the game to overtime with a driving layup that tied things up with 20 seconds remaining and came up huge in both extra sessions — his driving floater and ensuing and-1 tied the game in the first OT, while his turnaround jumper over Kyle Anderson with 1:27 left in overtime number two put the game on ice.
