The LA Clippers claimed their 12th consecutive season of at least 40 wins in 2022-23, reaching the postseason for the 10th time in that stretch after going 44-38 and finishing fifth in the West. As has been the case since 2019, the Clippers were led by veterans Paul George and Kawhi Leonard, each of whom averaged an identical 23.8 points per game, with George nabbing his eighth All-Star selection. Russell Westbrook joined the team in February and moved into ninth place on the NBA’s all-time assist leaderboard while also becoming the first player in league history to post a 30-point, 10-assist game with five different franchises. In the Clippers’ first round postseason series that they lost to the Phoenix Suns in five games, Westbrook became the sixth Clipper to post consecutive 30-point playoff games. Norman Powell was one of the most productive bench players in the league after averaging 17 points in 26.1 minutes per contest, while Ivica Zubac was consistent from the starting center position in averaging a double-double across 76 games. · Dec 15, 2025
