For much of Indianapolis, the spring of 2025 has the real potential to become one of those cherished, lifelong periods in which one remembers their exact location when on-court excellence occurred. And, as evidenced by May 20, 2025’s game against the Atlanta Dream, that expansive number includes Lexie Hull during her pursuits of and-one finishes through traffic. As if providing Indy’s faithful with a preview of what their fellow team-oriented blue-and-yellow-wearing breathtakers would offer in the following night’s Eastern Conference Finals, Hull and the Indiana Fever get the party going, first through an intuitive backdoor cut. Almost forced into a game of “HORSE” after Te-Hina Paopao disorients her with a sturdy bump, Hull balances as gracefully as reasonably possible on a single foot, hooking in a circus and-one to the delight of 16,269 in attendance. A memorable bucket-getting night left Indiana one shot shy of victory, but Hull, impressive nevertheless, contributed six points (on two-of-four shooting), three rebounds, and a 3-pointer. · May 20, 2025
