The number one pick in the 1990 NBA Draft, Derrick Coleman showed flashes all season—but on February 15, 1991, he put it all together. On the road in Denver, the rookie forward powered his way to a career-high 42 points, punishing defenders in the paint and knocking down shots from the midrange. The Nets got the win, and Coleman looked every bit like the future franchise cornerstone he was drafted to be. He finished the year as Rookie of the Year and went on to become an All-Star and 20-and-10 force throughout the '90s.
