Described by the Atlanta Dream’s general manager as “timeless” in her play, Charles earned her opportunity to live up to that description with 4.6 seconds remaining in a tie game against the Seattle Storm. Working a quick power dribble with Nneka Ogwumike blocking her path, Charles lets fly a short-range jumper that offers one stubborn, suspenseful bounce before falling through the net for a go-ahead score. In what would ultimately become one of the more unforgettable weeks of her career — as she conquered three of her former teams over a five-day span — Charles also became just the second WNBA player to reach the 3,000-bucket plateau.
