Already beginning his sprint down the floor following Minnesota’s missed shot, Robert Pack catches an outlet pass mid-stride before powering into the paint with 6-foot-11 forward Thurl Bailey poised to challenge anything in the painted area. Fearless, despite giving up nearly a full foot, Pack compensates for it through his revered vertical leap, springing through the air with an electric one-handed flush to propel the Nuggets to a near double-digit lead. Riding the wave of that momentum, Denver would survive Minnesota’s valiant efforts on January 25, 1993.
